Swagat Red Kidney Beans (Rajma).
Red beans are ideal for preparing traditional main courses, Indian legume curry, stewed vegetables, salads and soups, they are aslo suitable for home canning. Beans supply the body with high quality proteins, which is a healthy alternative to meat or other animal proteins.
Method of preparation: * Soak the beans in water for 10-12 hours, then rinse them under running water and cook gently in clean water at a low temperature for about 1 hour. * Only add salt at the end of cooking, as it slows down the cooking process.
