Dates are healthy foods. They can be eaten raw and processed. Date fruits contain protein, fiber, fats and carbohydrates. Dates have an intense sweet taste that makes them a good natural sugar substitute. Vegans and vegetarians make mousses, delicious pastas and puddings from the fruit. But the syrup, which has recently become increasingly popular, deserves attention. It can be seen as a healthy alternative to traditional sweeteners.
Syrup can be poured over desserts, pastries, waffles, ice cream, puddings. Pancakes with cheese or bananas sprinkled with such an addition will turn out to be very appetizing and tasty, as well as dumplings with fruit. Date syrup can be used as an ingredient in homemade truffles or candies.
Date syrup can also be used to sweeten coffee, cocoa and tea. You can add a little to your favorite cocktail or smoothie. Also, syrup can be used to improve the taste of oatmeal, millet, omelets. And if you like meat with a sweetish flavor, date syrup is an interesting component of the marinade.
